Johnny Cool-Man Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

A couple of shots from this morning, as the fog started to clear and you could see how big it was getting.  #1. is Kyle Beatty inside of this fat twister blasting down the beach.  At one point he stuck up his fist and punched the ceiling... He couldn't get out that way either...

Meanwhile, It took a while for the fog and haze to clear, but when it did we had about 5 miles visibility and high persistent clouds.  Winds were offshore by 3.3kts and the sea surface was smooth, but moving.  The air temperature was 57.3˚ and the water was 65.5˚.  High tide was at 10:39am +5.2' and low tide was back in the plusses at 5:58pm +0.2'.  It was a WSW swell out of 251˚ at 5.6', but it looked more like 5' to 7' with some early morning grinder-closeouts and better shape as the tide came up...

#2. is the one that came through that nobody claimed.  It was bigger than #1 and about half-way as tall as the pier.  Props to all of the chargers who braved the fog, close-outs and sets to surf some good ones!
