Foreshock Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

You can always tell when you have two sailors in the house.  They have all of the salsa bottles on the bar recreating yesterdays course and a stir-stick representing the direction of the wind.  The salt and pepper shakers are the two boats in question.  It appeared that salt was close, but pepper won by two shakes...  (Captain Donnie and David Doegh, photo by Barry Santos for Sagres Beer, Portugal)

Another summer day, as we try to make the season last as long as possible.  Clear skies and 17 miles visibility.  Winds were calm most of the morning and the sea surface had a slight bump that decreased as the morning heated up.  Air temp was 67.4˚ and the water was 65.5˚.  High tide was at 10:25am +5.3' and low tide will follow at 4:29pm +0.9'.  We have a west swell out of 267˚ at 3.0' and the surf is 2' to 3' and fair to better than that...  need a little patience as the tide rises...

Despite personal sacrifices, one should never enable a terrorist...  Chances are you're going to Islamic hell anyway.  Actually, we never thought about heaven being so encompassing.  We figured there'd be saints, basic good folks, Ghandi, bunches of Dalai Lamas, folks who went through all the cycles and paths, Beatrice and Princess Diana.  But then there's all those terrorists who lost it in suicide bombings and all those zealous jihadist's...  Already sounds contentious to us...  Hey, YOU!  Stay off'a my cloud...
