That's How You Crack A Case Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

There was a wallet found in the street outside of Brother's Burritos this morning.  Someone turned it in to Brother's counter, imagining it might have belonged to a patron.  But then we put "Clarke the Meth Hunter"™ on the case...  It was a pleasure to behold...  He went through the wallet, discovered a receipt from Scotty's dated an hour earlier.  Figuring the owner would call the last place he remembered having the wallet, Clarke took it to Scotty's and in no time the owner called and came in to pick it up!  Ah, the power of ratiocination!  (#1 Clarke and Jenx the Wonder Dog®)

A beautiful morning with light offshore breezes and smooth seas.  The air was a bit chilly at 50.0 and the water was 60.4.  Low tide was at 11:22am +0.9' and high tide followed at 5:51pm +2.9'.  We have a WSW swell out of 251º at 2.3', but it was 3' to 4' as the swell focused on Aubrieland.  We watched Danny Connell and Sean Larned rip some fantastic lefts all the way to the pilings.  Earlier in the morning it was Jah Morgan, Kira Bones and José the Codfish that showed the peanut gallery how it was done...

Not many people will buy that a Chihuahua runs the family "business."  Think again...  (#2)

We always thought we were pretty good at those international icons.  The list of prohibitions (#3) made good sense until we came to the squirrel.  "No squirrels?"  "No pet squirrels?"  "No squirrely behavior?"  "No bushy tails?"  "No eating nuts or hiding them in your cheeks?"  The best we could think of was "Don't touch the squirrels because they might have bubonic plague."

What global warming?  We remember when the observation deck was above the water! (#4)  Thanks to Ladyspaine for the great artwork...
