Barahona Parking Only Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Okay, we're BACK!  And what a way to start OUR summer, but to have a Longfellow field trip and brekky at Brother's Longfellow...  Here (#1) we have "BARAHONA PARKING ONLY"...  and besides that we all got some good rides on the rising tide.  Tomorrow, back in the Office at the usual time...  BTOBS...

Hazy sun this morning and 10 miles visibility.  Winds were light out of the SE by 4.3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 66.3º and the water is posted at 63.9º but felt warmer.  High tide was at 10:01am +4.8' and low tide is at 3:26pm +1.5'.  We have a SSW swell out of 196º at 3.3' and it was 3' to 4' with everyone getting some good waves...  If you want to know who was there, match the boards to the rider!

This year's "UNSUNG HEROES AWARD" went to the Bacallao Family.  Well, it's about TIME!  They are the most selfless, giving, authentic people we know and we are delighted to call them our friends!  By the way, pay attention when you're hanging with José.  You can learn tons by watching him interact with the folks with whom he comes into contact.  He's amazing...

(#3)  When your cat thinks you're getting way too much water and it's time to get out of the shower...  (Scarlett and Penny)

A new tradition that has us a bit concerned (#4).  Waving three foot long sparklers at the escaping bride and groom.  It was only through speed and some juke moves that they got away without bursting into flames!  (Allison and Gunnar Guth!)
