Threw Out The Mold Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

The answer is "Yes."  There are things that we won't eat.  Apparently our photos suggested that the Professor would eat just about anything in sight.  In the Muslim section of X'ian this woman was selling fungus right off a damp substrate.  It could have been the sidewalk and she just dammed up a section and let the little mucorales go.  LoLa said to the Professor, "Would you eat that?"  Much to our amazement he said, "No." "Why?" she asked (wondering why this might be different.)  "It looks fusty..."

So, we're working yesterday in reverse.  It started out bright and sunny and now we've got the clouds rolling in.  15 miles visibility at checkout with variable winds out of the sky to 3.2kts.  The sea surface was glassy to a light ripplation.  The air temperature was 58.3° and the water was 58.5°, but read 60 at Hermosa Pier.  Low tide was at 5:58am -0.1' (LoLa snagged some fine sea glass this morning along Burnout and Torrance) and high tide was at 12:29pm +3.3'.  The buoy has a SW swell out of 215° at 2.0'.  As far as we could tell that was about twice the size of anything we saw on our roaming...

Mail Pouch...
Professor:
I had to do a double take on the new facial grooming.  Initially thought you were Chuy from La Puente!
Big Daddy
(Thank you.  I was rockin' the flannel shirt, beanie look.  Kinda funny how the surf style flannel and the pachuco single button flannel have a lot in common.  If it weren't for the Mexicans and the polynesians California wouldn't have any culture at all!...  The Professor!)
"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
 The Professor!!
