Cinnamon Sweet Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

French toast, done in the manner of Chef Christian.  How many diners do you know of that rock that presentation for a quick brekky?  And dammit, the coffee was HOT!

Overcast remains with 7 miles visibility and a light but persistent gray.  Winds were calm and the sea surface had a roll, but was mostly smooth.  The air temperature was 56.7˚ and the water was an encouraging 59.4˚.  Like it's spring...  High tide at 10:01am +4.9' and low tide will be at 3:56pm +0.3'.  We have a SSW swell out of 212˚ at 3.3', but it's still too much south and we've got 1' to 3' surf at most spots, with El Sporto chest high...

Our sincerest condolences to the Foley family on the passing of John Foley after a brief illness.  John was the archetypical Irishman and was always ready with a quick smile and a story.  He was a great dancer, could hold a pint and knew his way around a party.  John joined us in Ireland for the "Rose of Tralee" pageant and showed us a grand time in his homeland.  A Lost Boy of the first order he would always busy himself making sure we were having a good time.  "Go n-eírí an bóthar leat..."  ("May the road rise with you...")

And this Irish youngster describing his baptism...
"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
 The Professor!!
