Machu Picchu Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

The bump at Punta Roca and three guys out.  There were three guys out at one of the premiere spots of El Salvador.  They used it in "Big Wednesday" for Malibu.  We kept wondering, "Is it too small?"  (It was 3' to 4')  "Is it just crappy shape?"  (No, it was reeling down the line like it's supposed to...)  "Was everybody at work?"  We have no idea, but we pretty much had it to ourselves all morning...

A beautiful southern California fall morning.  20+ miles visibility under clear skies.  Winds were offshore by 3.7kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 58.8 and the water is 66.9 which is absolutely fabulous for a November 14th!  High tide was at 8:12am +7.0' and low tide will be at 3:04pm -1.1'.  We have a 3.9' WSW swell out of 257º and it's a solid 4' with some fatter ones on the outside...

"The lagoon isn't as polluted as it looks..."  Wait...  Yes it is...  High tide at Hermosa Pier and some foamy residue over the outfall.  Doesn't look like the kind of pond you want to wade through without your shots...

Who knows what evil lurks behind men's backs?...
