Baby On Board Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Putting the "board" in Baby-on-Board...

A beautiful morning, we had a few scattered clouds and 20+miles visibility.  Winds were light offshore by 1.5kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 54.9 and the water is 67.3, but registered 69 at the Hermosa Pier.  Pretty toasty for November.  Low tide was at 5:18am +2.6' and high tide will be at 11:31am +5.8'.  We have a WSW swell out of 243º at 1.6' and it was almost that on the beach.  Actually, we watched the RUHS team snag a few zippers and it inspired us to take a paddle.  Especially standing out this morning was Ben Oien, who got three turns on a little dredger and wrapped a 270 at the end of the ride!  Pretty great in such small surf...

Our friend and compatriot Hugo Vau on a macker at Nazaré (#2).  One of the most humble, real people we have ever met he obviously has nerves of steel and ice water in his veins.  An amazing wave and an equally amazing person...

Living on the west coast we get access to some pretty brilliant sunsets.  Tonight (#3) was a perfect example, we had to stop and snag a pic...

Happy hour at Laurel Tavern this Friday at 5:30.  Always a good time, join up!
