More Than A Mustache Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

So, obviously the longhorn cattle are impressive, but the mustache on this drover caught our eye...  The Professor looked over at LoLa and before he could say anything she said, "Don't even think about it buckaroo!"

Hazy sun this morning and 10 miles visibility.  Winds were out of the SE by 3.5kts and the sea surface had a bit of tack to it as the wind changed.  The air temperature was 61.5 and the water is 62.1 and trying... Low tide was at 8:20am +0.4' and high tide will be at 3:52pm +3.6'.  We have a SW swell out of 229º at 2.6' and it was 2' to 2.5' with some cute little twisters...  supposed to be a tad bigger mañana...

Where on earth do you suppose this could be?  Well, it's obviously Laurel Tavern, but this one happens to be in Dallas, Texas down in the Greenville area.  The place was hopping and Michael took us on a tour of the Greenville area.  If you thought it might be all boots and hats, you'd probably be a bit shocked.  Yep, it was pretty cosmo and maybe a tad beauge-y...  We had a great time!  The even better news is that Michael's opening a surf bar nearby and it will be our job to be there for the grand opening!  We'll let you know how things progress...  Oh yeah, we've got to get Morgan to the wave pool to keep up her streak...  (from l. to r.:  Tarzan, Fast Nathan Fast, LoLa, Sarah Jane and the Professor)

We took this photo just before LoLa dug in her heels and took off down the main street of the stockyards...  These longhorns are especially nimble for carrying all that weight...  We got her just about time they were going to ford the Trinity at the bend by the rodeo grounds...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
