Thy Fearful Symmetry Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

"What immortal hand or eye could frame thy fearful symmetry."  The Professor (#1) gazing out at that perfect triangle of white water and wondering if it was perfect enough to go out in that cold water with that even colder air blowing on all of your exposed flesh...

10 miles visibility under hazy skies and winds out of the east by 5.0kts.  The sea surface had a bit of a light ripple (see #3).  The air was 47.3 and the water was 59.2.  High tide was at 5:00am +5.0' and low tide will be at 1241pm +0.1'.  We have a 4.9' swell out of the west 274º and it was 3' to 4', but some of the outsides were closed out as the tide fell rapidly...

How cool does the beach look after a big wind?  (#2)  Well, pretty cool.  Looking a bit like parts of the Great Karoo (where our ever-popular ice plant comes from) with our Palos Verdes peninsula taking the place of the Swartberg Range.  We'll be reporting from that region long about April!

Okay, okay, it looks doable (#3) but it also looks just a bit north of a sno-cone...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
