Maybe Tryptophan Poisoning Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

To get the holiday started off right, we had a warm-up with Aunt Vania, Uncle Christian and Jah Morgan (#1).  This anticipated all of the turkey and sides that would be adding not only a prodigious amount of tryptophan to our tortured systems, but carbs in all their insidious iterations...  One word:  yams...

Clear skies this morning and winds out of the northeast by 2kts.  The sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 54.0º and the water is holding at 61.2º.  High tide was a full-moon addled high at 8:16am +6.1' and low at 3:28pm -0.4'.  We has a SSW swell out of 205º at 3.0' and it was 3' but you had to wait until the tide went out enough to make it work...  We're hearing that it's supposed to be getting bigger by the end of the week...

As we pulled up behind this truck (#2), all we could see initially was "Liquid Death."  Couldn't tell what it was or where it was going, but there it was "Liquid Death."  Our first thought was that they finally got the cocktail engineered to give to the next guy on death row, but no, it said "MOUNTAIN WATER."  Oh yeah and it comes in regular or sparkling, naturally.  Pulling up alongside didn't help.  "Murder Your Thirst" it proclaimed in concert with an image of a torso with eyes where you typically find nipples, a can of Liquid Death gushing out of the neck and several severed heads flying over the hatchet (properly bloodied) wielding monster.  So, we wondered who exactly is the target audience/victims?  12 year old boys come immediately to mind.  And what happens when you walk in to the store and you ask the clerk, "Say there buddy, got any Liquid Death?"  "Sparkling?"  This is right before he pulls out the Glock he keeps behind the counter and says, "No, but how about some lead poisoning?"  "Okay, okay, I'll have a Fanta..."

Everyone is having trouble with 2020 including Santa (#3), who predictably fell off the roof on top of the guy who initially put him up there...  Coal for everyone!
