Tequila Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...
Here (#1) we have our man Christiano Von Stutzcanhang giving it a bit of lean to stay in the exact position he's charted.  Yes, he rode 90% of the wave basically hanging ten.  The savages on the beach went wild and vowed they would make him their king.  He declined the honor but said he would take the first prize of a special margarita as a gift.  Such humility and grace is seldom seen these days, but he is a great example of both attributes...

Meanwhile here in the frozen north we woke up to 46º air and 59.4º water.  Winds were off at 5 to 8kts and the sea surface had a rolling bump.  One low tide at 12:24pm -0.5'  There's a SSW swell out of 212º at 3.3' and it was a slow 3' to 5' with some deep holes in the middle of the break.

Redondo went head-to-head with PV this morning at Hermosa Pier and the Seahawks prevailed 86 to 61.  But the real secret to the Seahawk success was the women's heats.  In the shortboard heat it was: Keani Honda-Snow 1st, Abby Bosse 2nd and Karis Bruno 4th, for a combined total of 14 team points.  Dominating longboards were Soryn Preston 1st, Bridget Swift 2nd, and Keani Honda-Snow 3rd for 15 team points.  That's a total of 29 team points from the women and the basis for a compelling Seahawk victory.  Way to go ladies!
