Turnbuckle Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Maybe you remember last week when the wind blew like crazy.  The next morning we found the dunes trying to take over the Hermosa Pier...

Gray and drizzly today.  2 miles visibility and the clouds are buffing Palos Verdes to a brilliant green.  Winds are 6.0kts out of the west and the sea surface is remarkably smooth.  The air temperature is 57.4° and for the second day in a row we beat 60 with a 60.4°.  High tide at 5:58am +4.1' and low tide will be at 12:19pm +0.5'.  We have a SSW swell trying to turn the corner at 196°.  It's registering 3.0', but inside the bay it's 1' and poor at most spots.  If there are waves, the wind is already up and the drizzle bumps things down a bit.  Danger Boy is calling this a rain day.  We are not.  We bow to his superior water knowledge, however it didn't look like the gutters were running enough to warrant a call...

Speaking of Danger Boy, today is his first full day of retirement.  So far he looks like he's handling (considering the gray-drizzle-rain...  It's not his fault...  We don't think...)
