Another Thrasher Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Always pick the most unflattering photo of someone eating.  There is no way to tell the quality of the food, if his face stayed this way or where the pic was taken.  The answers would be:  excellent, no and Chacahua, Mexico.  The real question is why you'd get a photo of the Professor mangling a taco when there was picture perfect surf 90° to the left...

Partly cloudy this morning with 20 miles visibility.  Winds on from the NW by 2.0kts and the sea surface had a light ripple going.  The air temp was 65.3˚ and the water is 68.4˚.  Low tide is at 7:47am +0.3' and high tide will follow at 2:30pm +5.2'.  There's a SW swell out of 221˚ at 1.5' and there are some little waves along the beach, getting a bit stronger as you move north.

Danger Boy reports from Moonstone Beach:  "...Shoulder high with decent shape.  Mostly sunny.  They say the water is warm for them, but I saw lots of booties and quite a few hoods.  My feet say 64."
(After we read this we realized that we were thinking of the wrong Moonstone Beach!  It turns out there are at least 3 of them in California.  DB is reporting from the Cambria Moonstone, while another exists in Encinitas.  The third and closest is at the end of the access road in King Harbor!  Say "Hi" to Jimmy Thomas if you visit...  Parking is free...  Ed.)

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
 The Professor!!
