Frolicsome Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

There was a time when you had to head out of town to see some world class architecture.  Well, we're guessing you still have to leave the "So. Bay Bubble", but not far away in Los Angeles there are some pretty spectacular buildings.  The Disney Concert Hall is one of our faves...

Surprise, surprise!  Some good ones this morning as the wind blew stiff offshore with a southern kick and the sea surface was smooth.  10 miles visibility and hazy skies with all that air moving toward the beach at 5.5kts.  The air temp was a warm 69.3˚ and the wind riled an upwelling that dropped the water to 64.9˚.  Shorty for sure.  High tide was at 10:03am +4.1' and low tide will follow at 2:56pm +2.1'.  We have a WSW swell out of 245˚ at 3.0' and it's just about that with some nice thick outsides...

We were going to call this "double trouble," but that suggests more than we intended...  Mark & Fred have another green and white '73, almost identical to the Professor's.  They're asking something like 15k, but we're betting you can nudge them down.  Let's leave it at "seeing double."

Bluewater Grill tonight at 5:30pm.  Bring your happy hour attitude or stay on the porch.
