A Muggy Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

For those that think the Garden of Eden was in Idaho...
"...They say Eve tempted Adam with an apple, but I'm not going for that
I know it was a pink Cadillac..."

Still some swell in the water and some warm temps.  20+ miles visibility this morning under partly cloudy skies.  Winds were calm at go-out and the sea surface was smooth to glassy.  The air temperature was 72.5º and the water was 73.0º at the buoy.  If you think that was warm, this afternoon the #46221 Santa Monica Bay buoy was reading 77.2º!  Pretty incredible.  High tide was at 9:24am +5.5' and low tide will be at 3:48pm +0.6'.  The buoy was reading a SSW swell out of 205º at 4.3' and it was a solid 4' to almost head-high in Hermosa.  At high tide the drops were plenty makeable, but the endings could be problematic...

The trees were so full of apples that they were falling on the ground before they could pick them.  Farmers come by the orchards and shovel up fruit for their livestock...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
