Pygmy Mammoth Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Last week we saw this dot coming over the water toward the pier in Hermosa.  As it got closer we could barely make out a dory and what appeared to be two pirates flying the skull and crossbones.  They were paddling at a great rate and in no time we could make out young Frankie Volk and Skipper Todd Sander as they jibbered across our bow.  They paddled through the pier and then back to land on the beach and show their colors...  They found this bark and got it ship-shape and rowed it to the beach to impress their friends and stun their enemies...  No kooks...

Foggies this morning with 200 yards visibility.  Winds were out of the SW at 2.2 kts and the sea surface was smooth to glassy.  The air temperature was 63.9 and the water was 68.7, getting to 70 midday.  Low tide was at 5:16am +0.8' and high tide will be at 11:31am +6.0'.  We have a SW swell out of 230º at 2.3' and it was 2' to 3' and breaking hard on the shore...

If you're looking for clear water, Sardinia is your destination...
