We Are Not Alone Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Nope, we are not alone.  It is reported that the New York Times (don't ask us how we know this) is getting ready to publish some previously classified files that indicate that aliens and alien spacecraft actually do exist.  They've got generals who've looked at metallic samples from UFO crashes (stuff they say couldn't be made on earth), video of some pretty crazy things and no shortage of wild theories.  Personally, we're imagining we're in deep enough shit right now without extra terrestrials muddying up the waters, but who knows, maybe they have some of the answers we need.  Or maybe they're putting together a cookbook?  If they've been looking at old "Twilight Zone" episodes emanating from the earth, they could have all kinds of great ideas...

And the good news just keeps on coming...  here (#1) we have a poster at Scotties, for "Monday:  All You Can Eat Spaghetti."  Not only that, if you need HELP, it looks like you're welcome to bring your friends...

Overcast this morning with 7 miles visibility and winds variable out of the west.  The air temperature was 65.3 and the water is 68.7.  High tide was at 11:48am +4.3' and low tide is at 4:53pm +2.0'.  There's a WSW swell out of 256º at 3.3' and it was 3' to 5' with a lot of water moving through on some of the outsides.  Tarsan and Ronnie got some standout waves and Doc ? claims to have left everything in the laundromat...

Ah, the difference a year makes!  Last year we managed to convince Tarsan to join us along with Yoshi, LoLa and the Professor and a gaggle of McGuire's, Young's, Carlisle's and Rankin's in King's Canyon.  Here (#2) Tarsan and LoLa traverse the Zumwalt Meadows trail through the granite scree-fall area.  This year we'll be bivouacking in the back yard, shooing off skunks, possums, rats and raccoons...

Then there's 5 year's ago today!  (#3) shows Jetski setting up for a sweet bottom turn on a rare visit to the north side of the pier.  He and the Professor (#4) got their passports stamped and got worked on some of the outsides that day.  It looks amazingly like this morning, other than the sunshine...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
