Two-Handed Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Good morning leaders of the lovely!   Some fair surf this morning from Torrance to Hermosa.  We hit it with One-Nut Mike, Birdie and Duncan Avery (who just happens to be getting his masters degree and getting married this month!  Talk about a busy summer...)  Some fun waves.  Now Birdie might tell you to watch that first step -  he planted awkwardly on the sand and pushed off and his calf muscle torqued itself.  He was gimping around a bit, but by the time he got to his car, he already was looking a lot better.  Let's look at the stats...

Kinda foggy sun out at the beaches this morning.  The peeking in-and-out sort of foggy sun.  We'll be generous and call it 5 miles visibility.  The wind is out of the SW by 1.2kts and the sea surface is glassy.  The air temperature at 6am was 65.3° and the water is 68.7°.  A bit cooler on the inside, but past the wave line it's pretty toasty.  High tide is at 10:14am +4.2' and low tide will be not too low at 2:58pm +1.9'.  The buoy is reading a swell out of 265° at 3.3'.  The surf is a strong 3' and looking good while the wind holds off.

Notes to the Editor:

Hi Frank,

That's some funny stuff this morning.  Thanks for the hand plug and including me in the am report.  I feel like a surfer now, which for a guy from Boston, that's pretty cool.  But now you see what I mean about my hands getting all the attention.  As an actor, I have two indie movies coming out in the fall and a Bud Light spot running and everyone wants to talk about the HANDS!  It's all good.  A pleasure to meet you and I 'm sure I'll see you again soon.

BTW I attached the official Hands Billboard shot for the record.

Best wishes for good waves,

Henry (LeBlanc)

(Thanks for the good wishes Henry!  Join us for a surf anytime and we'll back you on the surfer-guy image!  Henry's Bud-Light spot is the one where the guy gets thrown out the window at Henry's command!  You know what we're all drinking now...)

you should take off your sweater before you take those pictures.  It looks like you got it at the same place I got mine.

Big Wave Dave

(Thanks Dave!  We got ours from the same place Mom did.  It's that Portagee thing.)
