Monster Mash Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Pay attention...  When you go to a costume party and you know there are going to be Lost Boys there, don't go in your weak-ass policeman costume or your postman-civil-servant get up (unless you've just gone postal) or even the Octo-Mom after having a C-Section.  Nope - you gotta get serious, Like Bobby Stasssi, who won the whole enchilada (burger?) with this great Bob Big Boy costume.  Dude, he WAS the Big Bob Boy!  Lookit that hair - PERFECT!  And in second place - yeah!  The Professor and LoLa as Freida Khalo and Salvador Dali!  Then there was Danny Quintilliani who was the Big Bad Wolf, opposite Toby's Red Riding Hood.  Damn, should'a seen those big white teeth...  We can't leave out Paul Miloe, who was channeling Johnny Depp/Cap'n Jack Sparrow.  Honestly, it was the eyeshadow that took it over the edge.  Almost Keith Richards...  If you've never been to the PTN fundraiser, you're missing a bet.  Damn near everyone is in costume (like 500 revelers), killer music and food by Chef Shaffer from the Depot.  Did we say a complimentary martini bar... ?  Oh, yeah...

Barely, 7 miles visibility this morning.  Overcast and drizzling conditions - kinda soupy.  Winds are slightly onshore, 1.2kts and a glassy sea surface.  Looks like the clam before the storm or some other gray mollusk.  The air temperature is 61.9° and the water is 65.5°.  Warmer than a lot of summer's days.  High tide at 7:39am +4.9' and low tide is at 1:40pm +1.6'.  The buoy is reading a SSW swell out of 197° at 2.6' and we're calling it 1' and not quite poor.  Yeah, it's worse than poor...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it..."
