Tournedos Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Tournedos, not tornadoes...  You know, like the small beef fillet...

Lookin' just like fall is supposed to look.  A bit of rain on the side window (photo #1) and cloudy skies, with a bit of blue showing here and there.  Clouds are supposed to increase and full on stormy conditions should prevail tomorrow.  15 miles visibility in all the cardinal directions.  Wind is onshore, but relatively light at 3.4kts and smooth to a light ripple.  The air temperature is 61.3° and the water is 62.4°.  Low tide is at 10:12am +3.1' for your wading pleasure and high tide will be at 4:10pm +5.0'.  There's a WSW swell out of 257° running at 2.3'.  Right now it's looking about 1' to 2', but that should be on the increase and depending on the wind, there could be some waves tomorrow or even this afternoon...

Last Saturday we went to the best Buddhist wedding we've ever attended...  Okay, it was the only Buddhist wedding we've ever attended, but it was great.  Tangelia Rouss and Greg Ringo got married at the Friendship Center in West LA.   The ceremony featured tea, traditional Japanese vows, banging of the gong, chanting "Nam-myoho-renge-kyo" (which took us back to the 60's,) non-traditional modern vows, a band, singing, interpretive dancing and a kick-ass reception.  Greg dedicated a song to Tangey and when it came time for her to speak, she leveled her eyes at Greg and said, "I don't have a band!"  She did great anyway and later we gathered the So. Bay contingent around the newlyweds for a photo.
