Lord Stanley & His Cup Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

There were two ways to see the Stanley Cup as it was paraded through Hermosa Beach this morning.  #1.  You could stand on Pier Avenue and take a picture of it as it rolled by on the fire truck, like Danger Boy and the Professor did.  Or...  #2.  You could walk into the fire house with Clark , pass the long line waiting to get their pics taken, look like you know what you're doing, walk to the other side of the cup and get your photo taken touching the thing!  Like LoLa (pictured) and Clark did...

A sunny, bright morning with 15 miles visibility and nary a cloud in the sky.  Winds were calm at checkout picking up to 2.9kts and the sea surface was smooth to slightly chopped.  The air temperature was 63.0° and the water was 59.4° at the buoy and 66° at the Hermosa Pier.  Low tide was at 7:51am +0.5' and high tide will be at 2:51pm +4.4'.  We have a west swell out of 265° running at 3.6'.  We'll call it a low tide fueled 2' to 3' with some bigger outsides...

NO 4th OF JULY PARTY AT THE PROFESSOR'S.
