Throaty Thursday Surf & Culture Report

 Lost Boys & Co...

On a recent trip to San Diego, we were on Shelter Island rambling around and ran across this rather interesting monument to gas and mountain goats.  We were impressed by it's simplicity and mystery.  That's it...

Overcast this morning but didn't feel too cool.  12 miles visibility and fortunately, nothing was going on at mile 13.  Winds were onshore from the start, but settled down a bit and by go-out it was 2.9kts and the sea surface was only lightly chopped.   The air temp was 60.6° and the water felt a lot warmer than the advertised 64.9°.  Low tide early at 5:26am -0.6' and high tide follows at 12:04pm +3.8'.  Surf is out of the WSW at 248° registering 3.6'.  We're calling it 3' to almost 4' and fair to fun...

If the Foo Shits... (re:  Kelp in the toilet photo)
Aloha, LB et al,  Curious minds want to know.  Was the wag's name Franz?

(At present we are not allowed to discuss this matter, due to the ongoing litigation with the State Parks Service, Heal the Bay, Save the Kelp and the Ex-Lax Corporation...   Ed.)
