Macrobiotic Monday Surf & Culture report

Lost Boys & Co...

No we can't believe it either, but Warren Paine turned 40 this weekend.  Our first photo shows Warren kicking things off, figuratively as well as literally.  In our second pic, we have Little Richie Paine howling a bluesy number to the delight of the assembled family and friends...  As per usual a great time was had by all...

A sunny Monday morning with 20+ miles visibility and winds out of the SW (225˚) at 3.3kts.  A slight ripple on the water at most spots.  The air temperature was 69.5˚ and the water at the  buoy is 69.1˚.  Low tide is at 9:05am +2.3' and high tide will be at 4:22pm +5.0'.  We have a SSW swell out of 202˚ at 3.6', but it's a bit cramped and the waves are in the 1' to 2' range.  Like always it's supposed to be better mañana...

We should also mention the tall, rather imposing individual on the right playing bass is Dave Hallgrimsson.  He and Richard have been making music together for getting close to 50 years.  That being the case he is now included on the "family" side, rather than the friends side...
