367 Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Whoa, been busy here at the Surf & Culture Report...

Yesterday was number 366 for Morgan Sliff and she was feted in fine fashion.  It all started in the water at 7:30 as she and her entourage took to the water and rode some excellent 3' to 4' waves south of the pier.  Some great waves by the Morgalini and her surfing familia including Buck D., Bobby Warchola, Capitan Donaldo, Jetski, Kirra Bones, Doc Scales, Mike Siordia, Zack West, Trevor LaShure, David Fillman and host of other lurkers, foam grommets and buoys.  Breakfast at Brother's was served al fresco in the parking lot and featured pozole and Kings Hawaiian cake.  After dousing the honoree with champagne, toasts were offered and the party was directed to move to the Becker retail shop.  There was music, a tarp surfing tarp, eats and plenty of amusements.  The highlight of the evening was the unveiling of the Barahona board, featuring the Professor's doodles from 366+- breakies at Brothers on the bottom.  Obviously a good time and it continues tonight at A Basq Kitchen at 5:30...

Clear skies and 15 miles visibility.  Winds were calm and the sea surface had some slight roll.  The air was 63.8 and the water was 67.6, but much warmer in the surfline.  Low tide was at 5:46am -0.5' and high tide was at 12:14pm +4.5'.  We have a SSW swell out of 198º at 3.6'.  It was 3' with an occasional bigger one on the outside.  Fun, fun, fun...
