Shorebreak Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

One obsession...  Two years ago he had only a fleeting idea of what surfing was, now his car has more boards than Jack's.  Jetski's quiver looks like upstairs at ET's...

Cloudy this morning with 9 miles visibility.  Winds were onshore at 2.3kts and the sea surface smoothed out a bit.  The air temperature was 65.1 and the water is in the 67.1 range.  Low tide was at 9:28am +2.1' and high tide will be at 4:21pm +5.1'.  We have a weak west swell out of 265º at 2.6' and it was barely 2' and breaking right on the sand...  As though he was proving some kind of obtuse point, the Professor broke a leash, apparently just to show it could be done...

These things REALLY work (photo #2) .  Minutes after getting this thing, the Professor was lead straight to the cash register and literally hundreds of dollars...  AMAZING...  Nothing outside in the sand though...

We'd like to honor the late crane operator Victor "Sparky" Sparks... (#3 So. Cal. Edison)

We'll be chasing the eclipse somewhere in Idaho starting Thursday, so the report will be in the shadows somewhere between the moon and the sun...  Don't forget to wear your welder's goggles...  We're back on the 27th so hold on until then...  Be nice if there'd be some waves...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
