Putting The Cult In Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Okay, we're going to move on from India and wing our way to Boise for a little celebration of LoLa's birthday and Easter Sunday.  But not before we give a big thank you to our guide and eventually friend in the sub-continent Neel Pradap.  Neel expertly shepherded us through what could have been a most chaotic and confusing 16 days.  We can't imagine India without him.  He wove history, culture, politics and religion together to make some sense of what we were seeing on our all too brief sojourn.  Should you ever entertain the notion of going to India, let us know and we'll put you in touch with Neel and his company...

Some good waves this morning with fluky, but light winds and smooth seas.  10 miles visibility and the air was 54 and the water is 58.1.  Low tide was at 7:12am -0.2' and high tide will be at 1:55pm +3.3'.  We have a west swell out of 262º at 3.0' and it was 3' to 4' with some nice peaks!

Taking off from LAX is always fun on a clear morning (#2).  We were hoping to get a shot of Malibu or the South Bay, but we went directly over the "Bu" and were on the wrong side of the plane for the bubble...

The Boise contingent rented a "Bar-Cycle" for LoLa's birthday, but if you really want to make an impression, give her a cookie (#3).  These things were between cookie and candy bar and went fabulously with a dry white wine...  From L. to R. Amy, Mary, LoLa and Abby making short work of the cookies...

You probably heard the news that Aubrie and Adam are going to be married next year.  What you probably didn't know is that the Professor (or might that be the "Reverend" Professor) will be officiating!  He was understandably honored when Aubs presented him with a ceremonial bottle of Sailor Jerry's with the request.  It should be noted that he said "Yes!" before they opened the bottle...

This weeks Happy Hour will include a send-off to our Portuguese family!  We understand that "Shade" will be the venue and we'll be gathering at 5:30...  Come say farewell to Marco, Raquel and Mateus!

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
