Total Eclipse of the Brain Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Let's get right to the heart of the matter.  Maybe it's not that we should be tearing down statues, it might be that we put the wrong ones up in the first place.  Take for instance our submission from Kolby Holdsworth (#1).  An excellent choice and no confederate general has ever won a Grammy...

An excellent day of surfing and ocean going.  Plenty of visibility under cloudless skies and variable light winds predominantly out of the west.  The sea surface was smooth with some ripples later in the morning.  The air temperature was 63.3 and the water was 66.7.  High tide was at 6:21am +3.6' and low tide will be at 11:42am +1.4'.  There's a SSW swell out of 205º at 3.3' and it was 3' to 4' with some nice waves early getting a tad faster as the tide dropped.  Quite a gathering including Doc ?, Jetski, Ronnie Garcia, Jah Morgan, Tarsan, Donnie and the Professor all keeping appropriate unsocial distancing.  Tenth St. had some really nice peaks and if things hold together, it might be good tomorrow as well...  Time to catch a few before they close the beaches for the holiday...

For those of you who still have to clock in...  (#2)

Jetski engaged the Professor to take a trip to IKEA to find a chest of drawers that doesn't exist.  It might have existed at one point, but the elves in charge of keeping track of the "Slovenkarger" have dropped the Swedish meatball.  Upon loitering in line, besides some first class people watching (a run for your money WalMart) we were amazed by some of the signage.  Like (#3) advising that there will be "NO pets or animals for comfort or emotional support allowed."  If you need such comfort or emotional support you can shop elsewhere where they sell over-priced pressed composition sawdust furniture and take your ferret with you...  Thank you...

The first thing you will notice about photo #4 is that there is no one in line.  Despite what you have heard about the nasal swab, this test is actually more ticklish...  After the nasal swab you feel like sneezing, after this you feel like marching...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
The Professor!!
