Your Love Is A Hurricane Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

You all remember LAX.  That's Los Angeles International Airport, a designation that suggests if you show up there you can expect a fair number of people heading to spots all over the world.  On this last Thursday morning at around 7:30am the only person we could find in Concourse #5 was LoLa (#1) waiting for her Americano outside the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf.  We jostled each other to the gate in order to provide some semblance of normalcy...  Likewise, when we returned on Sunday, the only people in the concourse were those getting off our plane from Boise.  Naturally, we were met with the curfew and being 6 o'clock on the dot, we had to wait for half an hour for an Uber driver to materialize...

Partly cloudy this morning with 10 miles visibility.  Winds were variable onshore from the start and the sea surface was a bit bumped.  The air temperature was 61.9 and the water was 60.1 and Tarsan trunked it.  High tide was at 7:27am +4.1' and low tide is at 1:06pm +0.8'.  There is a SSW swell out of 202º at 3.6' and it was a slappy 3' to almost 5' and better than it looked.  Jetski got the dump after a late takeoff in the middle of the bay...  Dr. ? received a demerit for riding over the front third of Tarsan's blade and leaving a significantly marcelled deck...  No one was injured in the production of this go out and resin and fiberglass are in good supply...

Is Hermosa Beach battening down for a hurricane?  (#'s 2 & 3)  Nope, they watched the videos of white kids rampaging the Patagonia store in Santa Monica and bagging all those Al Merrick's...  Thanks to all the fuck-heads who've thrown the legitimate protestors under the bus (burning, at that).  And speaking of burning buses, if you cruised down Hawthorne Blvd. by the Del Amo mall you might have noticed all of the broken down buses and cars (including a few old cop cars) parked in front of the entrances.  At first we were wondering how all of these vehicles broke down simultaneously in these key areas.  Then we realized that they (?) had put all these vehicles there, ostensibly to block the entrances, but also as great photo op's if the crowd decided to set them on fire...  who does that?  That being said, we're standing with Robert's Liquor, because you don't want anyone jacking your beer, wine, spirits or snacks...

Taking a 180º turn here we'd like to break character for a moment...

Thank You to all of you who took time out of your busy (complicated with everything you have to parse through) lives to wish me a happy birthday!  Your thoughts and best wishes made 70 a bit more palatable and maybe even fun...  I love you all more than you know!
Frank
