Thenceforth This Shall Be The Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

#1  The gates to the Hermosa Pier were locked.  Was the surf so bad that they refused to open the pier?

So, visibility was limited to less than 3 miles, with heavy clouds and light drizzle.  Winds were out of the west by 4 to 7kts and the sea surface was rough and chopped up.  The air temp was 58.5º and the water is 63.3º.  Low tide was early at 5:11am -0.4' and high tide follows at 11:41am +3.4'.  We have a SSW swell out of 200º at 2.6' and it was 2' to 3', but mushy and pretty sad...

That didn't stop a few learners (#2) from venturing out in the slop and trying to snag a few...

Seems like electrical mayhem was rampant this week as one of the lights on the pier (#3) was knocked over from it's pedestal...  On a happier note Brother's O.G. will be open mañana at it's usual time...  Coffee?

We took a bike ride this morning and on the return trip spotted these Canada Geese (#4) rooting in the grass for grubs near Veteran's Park.  The seagulls came over to investigate how this might add a protein source to their fish-centric diet...  No word if it's caught on...
