An Utopian Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Cold enough to give you the fantods this morning as the thermometer dipped to 39º on the lanai here at the Mar y Fuego towers, where we've posted up for the next week.  We can see the surf (#1) from our perch, but no Perch.  The water temp is a wind driven 57.6º and cold to the touch and we've got 20+ miles visibility.  Winds at checkout were 1 to 3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  Low tide was at 10:52am +0.1' and high tide follows late at 6:12pm +2.9'.  There was a west swell out of 261º at 3.0' and it was 1' to 3' and crashy with the lowering tide...

Contest mañana pitting Peninsula against the home team (Redondo Union) at the Hermosa Pier.  Horn blows at 6:30am!  Extra points for navigating the ice flows...

Here (#2) we have the Jersey/Hermosa connection, featuring Doc ? (Exit 131), Rasta Pete (Exit 100), J.P. (Exit 36) and Jetski (No Exit).  The Professor snapped this shot and asked to be credited with Exit 148...
