An Hypnagogic Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Yes, it's Friday and the weekend is upon us in rather cloudy fashion.  To the point where the weather-dude is saying we might get a few sprinkles over the next two days.  That should moisten up your weekend!  So there's 5 miles visibility and the winds are on-shore 3 to 5kts.  The sea surface is sporting a bit of texture, as you can see in Exhibit A.  What you can't see so well is that the air temp is 59.9º and the water is 62.6º.  Low tide is this morning at 8:53am -0.5' and high tide crests at 4:00pm +4.2'.  We're missing a good shot at the SSW swell out of 198º and it's only 2' (again, you can refer to Exhibit A) and unless someone is pushing you into these mushburgers, (one more time Exhibit A) or you have a SUP, like Laurie did this morning, you're not going to be too happy...

We''d like to send out our congratulations to our Redondo Union High School graduating seniors.  Today is Graduation Day and I'm sure they and their parents can breathe a sigh of relief!  Also to those special folks who were Cum Laude, Summa Cum Laude and Magna Cum Laude you have our admiration.  We graduated "Thank You Laude!"  We have always imagined how embarrassing it would be for someone to see our transcripts...
