Formula One Friday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

#1.  Spring has not been kind to the South Bay this year.  Cloudy, windy and sketchy tides have made it tough to string a few days of good surf together.  Take this morning - PLEASE!  It was cloudy with 10 miles visibility.  Winds were out of the west by 4 to 8kts and the sea surface was textured with a healthy bump.  The air temp was 58.0º and the water is 61.9º (despite the guards posting a 66º temp on the board.)  High tide was at 9:25am +3.6' and low tide follows at 2:06pm +1.9'.  There's a 3.3' swell out of the SSW (213º) and it looks like it's trying, but the wind and tide are messing it up.

This is just in time for graduation at RUHS!  That's the 9th of June for the Class of 2023.  They have our best wishes and high hopes for the future.  We haven't helped as much as we thought we might and in some ways, we've made things worse.  But here's hoping you roll up your sleeves and start making things right!  Congratulations!
