Expanded Reality Wednesday Surf & Culture Report
Lost Boys & Co...
We'll play our own version of spin the globe today. We did a little island hopping and this little gem is about an half an hour from another another one of our favorite rocks. Not often considered a surf destination we found a few spots that looked good and we were kicking ourselves for not bringing boards!
Partly cloudy this morning with ten miles visibility. Winds were light offshore at 1 to 3kts and the sea surface was smooth. The air temperature was 54.3º and the water is 57.0º. It actually seemed warmer today, we're either getting inured to the cold, which is HIGHLY unlikely, or it's really trying. High tide is at 10:41am +4.0' and low tide will be at 3:35pm +1.5'. It's a SSW swell out of 192º at 3.6' and it translated to 3' to 4' and a little soft on the inside, but fun and not as cold as it's been.
Got your guesses in? This is a shot of the south end of Molokai and there are actually a couple of spots that have surf that you can see. On the east side, where the Leper Colony resides, there's another little right that we saw breaking with a couple of guys out. The locals are a bit testy, but hell, where aren't they...
