Nicola Tesla Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co…

Thank you, we're back...

What is it about electricity?  Ours went out and we've been computerless for three days.  But it only went out in certain spots, one of them running the Wi-Fi, internet and computer.  Not to mention the sprinkler system, the heater and the tunes.  Good news, the fridge and the garage door are still running.  The electrician says it looks like a short, but we're thinking it could be a long… As in the electrons are looking for another path but it's too long to make all the aforementioned stuff work… Nicola would be proud…

The ocean looks like chocolate or actually more like Yoo-Hoo™ chocolate drink.  Red tide.  10 miles visibility under partly cloudy skies.  Wind were out of the NW by 2 to 4kts and the sea surface was ruggedly textured.  The air was 53.6º and the water was 57.2º despite the 64º reading on the Lifeguard board.  High tide was at 9:16am +3.6' and low tide will be at 2:08pm +1.8'.  It's a SSW swell out of 199º at 3.6' and it was 3' to 4' and the rising tide made it difficult to catch anything good.  Later it looked like Laurie and her friends had better luck closer to the pier.  Location, location, location...

How many bowlers do we have out there?  Actually more than we imagined.  Here (#1) we have Jetski demonstrating his form and how it lead to him pull a groin muscle.  We always stayed away from bowling alleys because they were loud, smoky and were dens of iniquity.  It turns out they were dangerous as well...  There are better ways to pull a groin muscle...
