Almost Thunderous Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

In some parts of the world, they're actually having summer and people are out frolicking in the sun, getting tan and in some cases getting the backs of their bikini tops branded into their very flesh.  Allison Burke sports this solar tatt after a day on the dock at Lake Payette...

But no, we're here and it's raining.  Yes, it's July 12th and it's raining.  It tried spitting all day and finally when the temps hit the dew-point, it just decided to give in and actually rain.  Visibility was 2 miles this morning and skies were cloudy.  Winds were offshore at checkout by 5.1kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temp was a deceptive 67.6° but the water was seriously chilly at 63.5°.  High tide was at 6:18am +2.9' and low tide will follow at 10:30am +2.3'.   We have a weak SW swell out of 216° and it's 2.6' at the buoy and 2' on the shore.  Nothing in store for the next few days...

Assisting in your weekend plans...
Friday night:  Samba - on the patio (unless it rains) - Mark is at the bar - 6pm
Sunday:  4pm - PIG ROAST - at the Professor & LoLa's - (Someone asked if there is a theme?  The theme is pork...)
