Sunday, July 15th

Foggy and overcast this morning with about 1½ miles visibility.  Winds were calm and the sea surface was smooth to almost glassy.  The air temperature was 61.5° and the water is not quite summer quality at 63.1°.  Low tide is at 9:31am +2.0' and high tide is at 4:38pm +4.8'.  We have a WSW swell out of 259° at 2.6'.  The surf is about 2' with some stronger sets, but mostly knee-knockers.  Imagine:  knee-knockers.  We've got this mental picture...

4pm, 516 Paseo de las Estrellas

Birdie had a de-lam on the deck of his board.  He repaired it and then didn't have a sticker big enough to cover the job.  He went over and saw Keoni and asked him if he might be able to do a tiki big enough to cover the repair.  Birdie thought he'd just knock out some simple thing - but the result is anything but!  He did it all with paint pens right on the glass job.  Pretty great!
