Watteau Sunset Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

An incredible sunset this evening and people were pouring out of the restaurants and bars to snap a few pics, before the next round.  In the end the folks were just as interesting as the brilliant display the sun put on.  You know guys, you just have to get out more often...

Hump day dawned with about 15 miles visibility under partly cloudy skies.  Winds were onshore at 4.1kts and the sea surface was a bit rippled, heading to a light chop.  The air temperature was 61.9° and the water was 66.0°, up 3° in as many days.  High tide was at 10:27am +4.0' and low tide is at 3:12pm +2.1'.  We have a SSW swell from 200° at 2.3', translating into one footers on the beach.  Good for paddling, SUP-ing, canoeing and water skiing.  Not so red-hot for surfing...

Our deepest sympathies to Ronnie Garcia, owner of Brother's Burritos in Hermosa on the passing of his mother.  He said that she was always his biggest fan and most ardent supporter.  Sounds like the kind of mom everyone should have!
