Two Kookus Mookus Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Okay, so we all have our moments of kookdom...  In photo #1 we have an excellent example of several things that tip us off that we're dealing with your basic "Kookus Mookus."  See how many you can get...*

Cloudy this morning with 5 miles visibility.  Winds were light onshore by 2kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 58.3 and the water is 61.0.  Biggest tidal swing of the week today with high tide at 7:53am +7.1' and low tide will be at 2:58pm -1.5'.  We  barely have a WSW swell out of 258º at a reported 2.0', but by all accounts it's flat...

In photo #2 we have lunch on the trail.  Our chef Leonardo worked veritable miracles all while hiking with us on the trek.  Leonardo was a trained culinary chef and after a couple of years working in restaurants in Cuzco, he longed to get back on the trail.  So now he chef's for Alpaca Tours where he can still cook and hike to boot...

#3 Here we have Leonardo in the kitchen.  We regularly had three course meals including soups, native dishes, corn, potatoes and all manner of meats including alpaca and llama.  Nothing tasted like chicken other than the chicken...  Oh yeah, and he did it all on a two burner Coleman-type stove.

*Kook Quiz:  Adidas sandals®, TopSiders®, Morey-Doyles®, matchy-matchy pink towel and pink board, leash is dragging behind the pink board and the dog has gotten away,  guy on left has zipper in the front of his wetsuit.  For extra credit:  There were no waves today.
