Rotate Your Tires Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

"And the Oscar goes to..."  Jetski and the Professor handing out the awards on New Year's Eve...  Yours is in the mail...

10 miles visibility under high clouds this morning.  Winds were light offshore by 1.9kts and the sea surface was glassy.  The air temperature was 53.7 and the water is 61.7.  High tide is at 8:36am +7.2' and low tide will be at 3:48pm -1.8' for a 9' tidal differential.  We got an alert this morning for coastal flooding in low lying areas at higher tides...  We have a WSW swell out of 248º at 1.3' and if we're lucky it might be half of that.  Like always, it's supposed to be better tomorrow.

On a most somber note, Morgan Sliff lost her brother David over the weekend.  Words cannot express our sadness and grief over her loss...

Tandis knew that she was getting the blue board on the left from Joe Bark, because she had ordered it...  But when Jack showed up with the new balsa laminate fish, she kinda freaked out!  There's nothing quite like having the perfect gift show up unexpected!

"Do mermaids exist?"   The answer is "YES" and here we have an example of two of them sitting right in the window at Brothers.  You might know them as Nancy and Jane, but everyone on the beach knows them as the mermaids.  We might be out there complaining about the cold and then they come swimming by, like mermaids do, and suddenly everyone is just a little sunnier...

Happy hour will be at Samba this Friday at 5:30pm on the patio.  Dress warmly and get ready to share your resolutions.  Not that anyone made any, but the road to hell has to be paved with more than a few resolutions...

"When the surf breaks, we'll fix it"
