Bubble Bubble Water Trouble Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

If you needed an excuse to stay out of the water you might start with the outfall next to the pier (#1).  At the high tide it was gurgling and merrily bubbling away like it was possessed.  And in a way it was, with all the pent-up evils on the streets like dog shit, motor oil, various dusts and pollen and the occasional rat or racoon that gets washed out to sea...  Didn't look inviting...

Few clouds bumping along this morning with light winds and bumped up sea conditions from the winds.  The air temperature was 55.0º and the water is a wind lowered 61.3º.  High tide was at 8:43am +6.3' and low tide will be at 3:52pm -0.4'.  We have a 4.9' west wind swell out of 265º at 5' to 7'.

But honestly, that wasn't enough to keep the faithful out of the gunk.  Here (#2) we have a brave charger dropping in on this left heading over to the pier.  The tide was high and they took advantage of the additional water to get some distance.  Of course there was an occasional outside to deal with and this one (#3) looked imminently rideable!
