Washington Crossing The Breakwall Wednesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Looking north from the still gated Hermosa Pier (#1) we saw this sweet tube at 14th St.  We used to draw them like that...

Big waves again today and plenty of chargers ready to brave the questionable water quality to score some bigger ones.  10 Miles visibility under partly cloudy skies.  Winds were light offshore by 2 to 5kts and the sea surface had a slight warble to it.  The air was a chilly 49.1º and the water is 58.8º.  Low tide was early at 5:03am +2.6' and high tide was at 10:55am +4.8'.  We had a west swell out of 261º at a pumping 10.5' and it was 8' to 12' at the standout locations.  Due to drop a bit mañana, but still plenty of juice...

You can only see the very tip of this guys board (#2).  About 50 yards later, when he came out of the tube, he got a round of hoots from the citizens on the beach.  Just wish we had a better angle so you could've see him in the pocket...
