What a great way to end the week with a beautiful Friday and huge surf to boot! In our photo the first, we have Buck and the Professor taking a look at the Professor's blade. The Professor is suggesting the proper amount of egg and downturn you need in the perfect rail configuration. Buck questions his veracity. Both are voracious.
Under purple skies and on top of azure-lapiz seas we have 15 miles visibility. Winds are offshore from 5.8kts to 120kts, gusting at odd intervals. The air temperature is 52.4°and the water is 57.0°, although Buck claims to have found a spot that was almost 120° It turned out to be the outfall from Scotty's. Low tide was at 9:26am +0.0' and high tide hums the tune at 5:18pm +2.9'. The swell is coming straight out of 260°at 3.3' and the waves are in the 3' to 4' range with outsides that tended to block out the sun. We had photos, but the sun was so eclipsed that we didn't get an image. Oh yeah, the flash didn't work. Besides that, Buck and the Professor were jammin' at the pier in Hermosa. Two Hermosa guys came out because they had watched them get some outrageously long rides. Hey, sometimes it happens... Okay, once...

Photo the 3rd: Since Buck has hired a gardener, he hasn't needed his lawnmower. Since his three loves are beer, accordions and gardening he decided to merge two of them and mounted his favorite Keegan's Barstool on a 50hp Briggs & Stratton engine. It'll do 38mph and it took him 86 hours to get to R.B. from Riverside. Part of that is because he stopped in 18 bars on the way. It was such a conversation piece that the tip jars in 5 of the establishments paid for gasoline! He should be back in the 909 by Tuesday. Wait'll you see his accordion...
