Redeye Tuesday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Waiting for the sun to go down, the fam, in eager anticipation, is ready for Joey to start the bonfire.  In the best tradition of Hawaiian Fire Gods, fire twirlers and fire eaters, Joey is waiting for the propitious moment to begin the festivities...  Is it dark enough yet?...

A great day to return home with only a few clouds in the sky and over 20 miles visibility.  Winds were light out of the south by 3.3kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 71.5˚ and the water was 66.9˚ and ready for your short-suit assault.  High tide was at 9:38am +3.8' and low tide will be at 2:21pm +2.0'.  We are enjoying a SSW swell out of 203˚ at 3.3' and it was a solid 3' with some fuller outsides throughout the morning...

Ok, so here's the set-up...  Sunset Point is on the right and Val's Reef is to the far left.  Every 100' there's a new name for a place that breaks perfectly 5 times a year.  On the other hand Sunset and Val's break pretty consistently and we managed to score more than a few times, even though it's summer and not the best time for the North Shore...
