First The Movie, Now Real Life Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Not that there's anything wrong with your old life, but you might want to look at Marie Kondo's "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up."  With our latest influx of Christmas gifts blowing out our dresser drawers, we decided it was time to come to grips with our T-shirt situation.  Not to mention the "...calm, motivated mindset" tidying can inspire.  What she doesn't mention is the angst you have to go through, throwing away all those classic t-shirts that you got as swag at various events over the last 20/30/40 years.  She suggests you lay them out, thank them for all the pleasure they gave to you, wish them well and then throw them out.  No, don't use them for rags, don't frame them, throw them out.  However, she didn't say you couldn't take a photo of them before you sail them into the bin...  This was a tough one...

15 Miles visibility under high, medium and low clouds.  20% chance of rain, doesn't make it seem very likely.  Winds are out of the NE by 5.2kts and the sea surface has a bit of offshore rippling.  The air is a chilly 41.3º and the water is cool at 60.4º.  High tide is at 10:22am +5.6' and low tide will be at 5:28pm -0.4'.  We have an oblique west swell out of 261º at 3.0' but the high tide and tight swell are only making 1' rollers that are barely breaking, if at all.  Supposed to get better over the next few days...

A few dates and times to note:

1.  Louie-Louie's tonight (Monday) at 6:15pm for Monday Night Football and dinner.  (Note:  Louie-Louie's is what it is traditionally called.  It is officially know as "The Corner Pub"

2.  Kincaid's New Year's Eve, No Host, Maybe A Toast Gathering at 4pm.  Join the crew in bidding "Adios" to the old year and welcoming the new.

3.  Since New Year's day is Friday and we typically have happy hour on Friday, LoLa has offered to throw open the doors to the dining room and hose out the Tiki Bar.  It will be tamales and Mexican fare for those who brave the elements.  5:30pm, 516 Paseo de las Estrellas, RB 90277
