 Lost Boys & Co...

"When in Cuba, do as the Cubans do..."  Here at this bay-side bar Mike and Donnie were celebrating another fun/interesting day on the south shore of Cuba in Playa Larga.  A short walk from our "casita particularé" we tipped out hats to the day and got ready for dinner.  We found the "Ron Mulata" to be extremely smooth and an excellent lubricant with which to slide into the evening...

Meanwhile, in Hermosa about a week ago, Coach Avery and Coach Paine were watching their charges paddle into some good waves.  We had 20+ miles visibility and only a few scattered clouds.  Winds were offshore by 3.3kts and the sea surface was smooth to almost glassy and the clarity of the water was impressive.  The air temp was 60.3º and the water was 65.1º.  Low tide was at 10:16am +2.5' and high tide followed at 3:19pm +3.6'.  We have a building west swell out of 260º at 3.3' and it was a good 3' to 4' with some dredging outsides.  The trick was to maker it to the bottom and get some speed before the slab folded on your pointy head...

The executive committee in charge of happy hour locations has decided to yet again patronize "A Basq Kitchen."  On the International Boardwalk, below the Redondo Beach Pier, it's somewhere between Naja's and Quality Seafood.  5:30pm is the suggested start time and we hold forth until a majority of the world's problems are solved...
