A Matrix Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Well it's officially "June Gloom" although on some days we actually get some sunshine.  #1 is an example of some of those precious rays getting to the beach...

Gloom this morning with 2 miles visibility.  Winds out of the SE by 5.1kts and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 59.6 and the water is 63.7.  High tide was at 8:05am +3.7' and low tide will be at 1:25pm +1.4'.  We have a SSW swell out of 193º at 3.6' and it was 3' to 4' in the surf.  Pretty fun and long board friendly...

Nothing like a holiday with an impromptu jam session on the deck.  And to top it off, Buck was stretching things to the max with his accordion playing.  (From L. to R.:  Joey, Christian, Suzi, Ivan, Finn and Buck)

#3 features Adam & Caroline mugging for the camera.  They've been surfing Hermosa since they moved here from the east coast and are turning into legit regulars!  This was at last weeks happy hour at "Greenbelt."  We've had some good times there and maybe we'll try the patio when it gets a bit warmer.

Note:  Report will be on through Wednesday and then we'll be heading to (of all places) Texas.  Yes, the Lone Star State beckons and we'll be reporting on the famous "Dallas Tornado Mud Surf."  We'll resume our regularly scheduled report on Wednesday the 14th.
