(photo #1)  Honestly we don't care if this product is non-hazardous.  We can attest to the fact that it smells like barf and has the consistency of sour owl shit.  One of our worst nightmares might include t-boning this rig and having one's car engulfed by the contents...  You'd never get the stench out...  never...

Light overcast this morning with occasional sun breaking through.  10 miles visibility if there's anything you want to see that far away.  Winds moderate out of the SW by 5-7kts and the sea surface had a light bumbl.  The air temp was 60.3 and the water is 63.3.  Low tide was at 10:18am +0.2' and high tide will follow at 5:22pm +4.6'.  We have a 3.3' swell out of the SSW 196º and it was 2' to 3' and fun to even more fun on the lowering tide...

We talked to this guy (photo #2) in the parking lot of Pollo Inca, for about five minutes before realizing he had been in the restaurant and was already stuffed.  FasTrak ready we'd say...

(#3 photo)  Demonstrating the latest addition to the Tiki Bar, LoLa does some low impact swinging.  We realize that some folks have considered this an attractive nuisance for their children and have voiced their concern.  We must however, respectfully, reiterate that this is a bar.  Alcohol is present, there are adults using adult language and at times acting out their alcohol fueled, less than responsible, behavior...  This is not an excuse, it's just an attempt to get Vishnevsky off the hook for kicking the little buggers out of the bar...  Further correspondence should be sent to his wife...

Lost Boys & Co... P rofessor, This is a shot taken last week at a secret spot that is less than 30 miles away from you guys. Any guesses?  My buddy Dave sent it from Salta Verde Point on the backside of Catalina. Only accessible by boat or if you know someone with the key. Tip: The guy in the pic is the guy with the key! Sea Wolf... S o, apparently if you decide to leave Avalon and head to the backside you might score on a south swell.  For some reason this place looks like there might be some rocks on the inside.  No indications of that other than the boils following the guy with the key... Not Forest Hills Friday Surf & Culture Report

W ho's behind those Foster-Grants?  Well, we'll bet that he's NEVER worn a pair of F-G's.  Are those Oliver People's?  Cartier's, Garrett Leight's?  We'll say Tom Ford's and he should be their poster boy.  Yep, it's Jetski in the arena at the US Open.  Looking rather trim in his court-side togs, we're waiting for his description of the action... W e continue our assault on some of the smallest waves ever ridden!  We'll have to check the Guinness book, but we think we're on to something.  So it was ten miles visibility under partly cloudy skies and winds were offshore by 5 to 7kts.  The3 air temp was 63.9º and the water was 70.7º at the ever popular #46221 Santa Monica Buoy.  High tide was at 11:01am +5.5' and low tide follows at 4:52pm +0.7'.  It turns out we observed that low tide and even with the afternoon south wind howling around 10kts, Sapphire still looked fairly smooth.  We had a south swell out o
