Always Ready On Monday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

Covering the sun wherever it may be in the heavens...  Here we have the ever popular Christiano Stutzcanhang, sporting the proper eye protection, following last Saturday's partial eclipse.  Shadows, reflections and refractions were all used to demonstrate the percentage of the sun's occlusion.  Rumors and plane tickets abound in the pursuit of the total eclipse in 2024, casting a long shadow across Texas and the Southwest...  We will report...

Visibility ranged from a hundred yards to 10 miles as the fog rolled in and dissipated as quickly as it appeared.  Winds were light offshore and the sea surface was smooth.  The air temperature was 57.7º and the water is holding at 68.9º trying to keep Fall and Winter at bay.  High tide was swamping the bay at 10:09am +5.9' and low tide was at 5:05pm +0.2'.  It's a WSW swell out of 252º at 4.3' and it was 3' to 5' with pounders at Hermosa and some close-to-the-shore quickies at Sapphire.  Yon morning should be interesting...
