Best Christmas Gift Ever Thursday Surf & Culture Report

Lost Boys & Co...

So, who do you think got an early Christmas/Hanukah present this year?  YES!  Doc Scale snagged this beauty (#1) out of Danny's bay and had it waxed and tuned up before you could say Jack Frost!  Danny had been working on it in secret, keeping it from prying eyes and finally gifted it to Eddie just in time for the holidays.  Great glass job and pinstripes by Davey and the Barahona crew.  Now we just need some good waves for the maiden voyage!  Yay, Doc!

Clear skies this morning and 16 miles visibility.  Winds were light offshore and the sea surface was smooth.  The air was a brisk 54.1º and the water is holding at 63.3º.  High tide was at 5:29am +4.9' and low tide follows at 12:08pm +1.5'. It's a WSW swell out of 256º at 4.3' and it was 3' to 4' as the crew hit an unpredictable mysto spot that opened up for them...

Christiano is heading up north for his contest this weekend for the SLO CAL Open.  Look for the WSL Qualifying Series on YouTube.  Looks like he might be surfing on Saturday.  Putting the TUBE in YouTube...

Final round of the Kick-Off Classic mañana at 6:30am at 26th St.  Stay tuned for the results of that comp.
